Predicure

Your feet are perhaps the most neglected; you must be taking great care of your skin and hair but not giving your feet enough attention. Giving yourself an occasional pedicure is an excellent way to pamper yourself, feel relaxed, soothe aching feet and at the same time have beautiful looking feet.

Things You’ll Need for a Pedicure

  • Pumice stone
  • Nail cutter and a filer
  • Rock Salt
  • A Small tub
  • Lukewarm water
  • Shampoo
  • Essential oils ( optional)
  • Moisturizer / foot care cream
  • Nail polish

Pedicure Routine

  • Remove any old nail polish on your toes with a nail polish remover, take a tub of lukewarm water, put some amount of shampoo and rock salt and mix well. Now soak your feet in it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Now once you feel that your feet have softened a bit, take the pumice stone and gently scrub on your heels and below the entire feet to remove dead skin. Usually it’s the heels where there is dead flaky skin.
  • Now remove your feet, pat dry, apply some moisturizer or foot cream all over and again put your feet in a tub of lukewarm water with essential oils added to it for about 15 – 20 minutes. This relaxes and soothes your aching heels, pampers your feet.
  • Remove feet, pat dry, making sure you thoroughly clean between the toes, cut, trim and file your nails ,first from the ends to the center to get the desired shape and apply a moisturizer.
  • Gently massage the feet all over for a relaxed feel.
  • Now apply your choice of nail color with cotton pads in between each toe, this will keep them apart while you polish. Apply a base coat first and then apply a second coat, you could be a little more creative and go for interesting nail art.

You are now all set to flaunt your lovely set of feet after a pampering pedicure regimen.
