Long Nails
Having well manicured long nails is every woman’s desire and they say a lot about one’s personality and style. If having long nails is a challenge, maintaining them is altogether another tough task. Nails grow long and faster in summers than in the winters and they grow quicker on the hand that is the most used. Ideal length of your nails should be not more than 1/3rd of the body of the nail.
Nail Growth
Matrix is the area present under the cuticle from where nails grow, with the cuticle acting as a protective layer for the matrix. As your nail grows from the matrix with fresh nail cells, the older nails get pushed outward, it generally takes around six months for your nails to fully grow, on an average growing about 0.1 mm in a day.
