On the flip side, women with full thick lips might want to go for sober shades of lipstick for thinner lips.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation is a surgical procedure for getting back fuller lips and to increase the lip contour. As we age our lips lose their fullness and volume, the upper lip especially looks thin. As the gap from the tip of the nose to the upper lip widens, lips tend to look thinner and straight losing their shape and curve. The lip lift as it is also called helps the Cupid’s bow retain its natural shape making lips look fuller. The procedure involves lessening the gap between the nose tip and the upper lip, by injecting skin implants like Alloderm or collagen to provide the lip with support and volume. The area to be treated is given a local anesthesia.

As there are risks involved in every surgical procedure, allergies, bruises and lip infections are not ruled out in a lip lift.
