  • Wet the area you want to shave with lukewarm water before shaving, this softens rough hair, opening up the hair follicles and makes the process easier and less painful.
  • After wetting the hair, apply soap gel or foam, rub in a little ,let stay for 3 to 4 minutes so that the hair gets moisturized for an easy removal , now gently shave with a razor in the direction of hair.
  • Using foam or gel lessens irritation, burning sensation, protecting your skin.
  • Use scissors if the hair is long before shaving.
  • Always try to shave while you are in your shower, this makes the hair soft and is ideal for shaving.
  • Pull up the skin a bit and shave with the other hand for a smooth shave.
  • Although it is recommended to shave in the direction of hair growth, saving against the hair growth is not a bad idea too but lather the area you wish to shave with enough gel.
  • Apply gel or foam while shaving if you feel your blade is not moving smoothly.
  • Rinse the razor every now and then in between shaves, this clears the razor of any hair stuck to it.
  • Avoid shaving repeatedly in sensitive areas like underarms and bikini area, it might otherwise cause skin irritation, reddening of skin or leave scars.
  • Go slow while you shave legs and hands, as the hair is no too thick and coarse, a rough shave can damage your skin.
  • You may not get it right the first time with electric razors, second or third trial and you could be more comfortable.
