Eyebrow Waxing

Rushing to the nearest parlor to wax your eyebrows is passé these days. You could as well do it yourself at home with a professional wax kit. Eyebrow waxing is yet another option among tweezing and threading to define your face and eyes. Just a single pull of the removal strip and you are done with waxing your eyebrows, it’s any day a quicker option than plucking and threading although some practice and tolerance is needed.

How to Eyebrow Wax

  • Get yourself a professional wax kit that includes a bottle of hot wax, a spatula to apply and removal strips.
  • Before you begin to wax your eyebrows, decide upon the shape that you want to achieve and the arch, this makes your job easier.
  • Define their shape by gently brushing with a smooth tooth brush or a mascara wand.
  • Mark where you want the eyebrow to begin, usually it begins parallel to where the inner corner of the eye is. Women with close set eyes can leave a wider gap for a broader look.
  • If your skin is extremely sensitive, apply astringent over the brow area to make it numb so that you don feel the pull too much.
  • Take a bowl of water, warm it up and place the bottle of wax until it melts to room temperature, now with the spatula apply a thin film of wax under the eyebrow area in the direction of hair growth, now apply the removal strip over the layer and smoothen it, pull back the skin a little and now pull the strip in the opposite direction, You got to pull before the wax dries up. Repeat for the other eyebrow too.
  • You can see the difference for yourself right after your eyebrows are waxed, face looks defined and eyes look clear and beautiful.
  • The area above the eyebrow is never waxed.
  • Even after waxing, if you still notice that it is not completely clean, take a tweezer and gently pluck the extras.
  • Now apply some moisturizer and gently massage over the eyebrow area, this is relaxing and avoid harsh soaps or any harsh skin treatment and going into the sun for some time.
  • Take half at a time of the eyebrow if its too thick and if it is your first time. Little practice and patience is required initially. You can’t be a pro at the word go.
  • Touch up with an eyebrow pencil for an even look finally.
